WATERS TO THE WEST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (March 9, 2015) Sailors serve as line handlers aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) during a replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO-197) as part of exercise Foal Eagle 2015. McCain is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Foal Eagle is a series of defense-oriented annual training events designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the Republic of Korea and U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
