Petty Officer Lori Bent had a problem. As a single mother with a 5-year-old daughter, her Navy schedule was starting to take its toll. Stationed aboard the USS Carl Vinson with its fluctuating deployment schedule and its numerous readiness exercises, she was becoming dependent on her best friend.
